Rally of “Strongly Protest against CCP’s Imprisonment on Prominent Dissent Writer Tianshui Yang”
----The No.16 Series Activity of Chinese Political Persecutor’s Rescue Propaganda Year”
At 11 am of Nov.24, 2009, more than one hundred CDP members came to rally in front of the Consulate-General office of P. R. China in New York and proceeded the No.16 Series Activity of Chinese Political Persecutor’s Rescue Propaganda Year”. We Strongly Protest against CCP’s arreset and long-run Imprisonment on Prominent Dissent Writer Tianshui Yang” and strongly appeal to release Mr. Tianshui Yang. Mr. Jun Wang, chairman of China Democracy Party and China Democracy Party World Union and Proprietor of 《China Democracy Journal》attended today’s rally and gave a speech.
Tianshui Yang’s brief introduction: Tianshui Yang, aka Tongyan Yang, Han ethnic. He was born in Siyang County Jiangsu Province. In 1982, he got the bachelor of history from department of history in Beijing Normal University. Hence, he mainly lived in Nanjing and, taught for 3 years and researched for 4 years. From 1990 to 2000, he had been imprisoned for 10 years due to “the criminal of counterrevolution”. On May 31, 2000, he was released and still deprived the political rights for 4 years. He was questioned and arrested for couple of times. From May 28, 2000 to June 12, 2000, he was detained for half of month, due to deterioration of state honor and harm of social stableness. From Dec. 24, 2004 to Jan. 24, 2005, he was detained for criminal custody for one month, due to “subversion state power” and was released for one year. On Dec. 23, 2005, he suffered arrest again. On Jan. 25, 2006, he was arrested. From 9am to 12 am of May, 16, 2006, he was secretly heard in Zhenjiang city Jiangsu Province, due to “subversion state power” for 12 years sentence and deprived political rights for 4 years.
